Job summary

Our Kuala Lumpur-based client is building a cloud-native backend team from the ground up to develop scalable Go services for international clients. You will contribute to API design, data models, and scalable architectures while embracing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of production backend experience on cloud platforms, strong Go skills, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and Couchbase. A CS/SE degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years building and running production backend systems on cloud platforms.
• Strong Go production experience for backend services.
• Experience with high-throughput systems and throughput measurement.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Go.
• Design distributed, event-driven services that scale horizontally.
• Optimization of performance, concurrency, and resource usage.
• Deploy containerised services on AWS using Kubernetes.
