Job summary

NI (NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS) Malaysia seeks a Trade Compliance professional to manage day-to-day customs operations and supervise a team ensuring timely reports and declarations.

You will handle import/export shipments, support LMW/VAA renewals, advise on incoterms, STA processes and export screening, and liaise with MITI and auditing authorities. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in customs/trade compliance are required; proficiency in English and local language is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• 5+ years of experience in Customs and Trade Compliance.
• Mastery in English and local language.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day LMW customs operation with team and brokers for timely reports.
• Oversee import/export shipments and coordinate with brokers for efficient declarations.
• Support trade modes like hand carry, temporary import, and ATA Carnet to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide expertise on product valuation, invoicing, incoterms and local customs rules.
• Support export compliance and STA process, including order screening and release.
• Interact with local customs/MITI and other agencies; participate in audits when required.
