Job summary

JKS Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is hiring a Service Engineer to support customers across Malaysia and overseas, including Klang, Selangor and Penang. You will participate in machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales engineering support, with Mandarin-speaking duties for China and Taiwan.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and are willing to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is required to communicate with customers from Taiwan and China.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Experience in the semiconductor, automation, machinery or industrial equipment industry will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to understand engineering drawings, particularly 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of 2D or 3D drawing software will be an advantage.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows operating systems.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and work outside normal office hours when required.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support machine installation, setup, testing and commissioning at customer sites.
• Diagnose equipment faults and carry out repair, troubleshooting and fine-tuning activities.
• Provide on-site and online support to customers and train them on equipment operation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Prepare service reports and recommend suitable technical or process improvements.
• Verify customer spare-part requirements and support the Sales team with technical information and quotations.
• Identify opportunities for spare parts, service contracts and other after-sales solutions.
• Work closely with the Project, Engineering and Sales teams to resolve customer issues.
• Maintain good relationships with new and existing customers.
