Job summary

CNMY International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd invites qualified Quantity Surveyors to join its design & build (EPC) and design & project management (EPCM) teams in Kuala Lumpur. The firm works with international clients and provides exposure to global industrial projects.

You will take-off quantities, prepare tender and contract documentation, manage cost databases, monitor budgets, and support variation and final accounts. Travel domestically may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge on construction contracts (PAM, FIDIC, JTC).
• 5+ years experience in QS role within consulting or contracting firms.
• Honesty, integrity, motivation, independence and meeting tight deadlines.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Office and Excel; willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Take off quantity and tender documents per project requirements.
• Liaise with client and QS consultant for tender docs preparation for major projects.
• Prepare tender strategy and planning; advise client on tender approach.
• Collaborate with Project and Business Development for new leads.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and progress payments for contractors/consultants.
• Contract administration: cost reports, cost databases, cashflow, payment forecasts.
• Assess variation orders and advise client.
• Solicit quotations from suppliers/sub-contractors/consultants.
• Control and manage project budgets; suggest value engineering.
• Prepare final account; attend site meetings/visits for verifications.
