Job summary

CNmy International is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for projects in Malaysia. You will lead tendering, cost control, and post-contract administration across industrial and retrofit works, coordinating with clients and consultants.

Strong communication, integrity, and a proactive approach are essential. The role requires a Degree/ Diploma in Quantity Surveying with 8+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and Excel.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
• At least 8 years of experience in Quantity Surveying Practice or Consultancy.
• Experience in M&E trade QS is an added advantage.
• Experience with fast track and industrial projects.
• Proactiveness and strong work ethic.
• Honesty and integrity as core values.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender documentation for small-scale projects such as retrofitting and refurbishment works.
• Manage procurement by inviting and evaluating quotations and preparing comparison reports.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants (especially QS) on tender docs and Bills of Quantities for major projects.
• Advise clients on tender strategies, procurement routes and contract arrangements.
• Administer post-contract matters including cost control, variation management and interim valuations.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, update cost databases, track cash flow and forecast payments.
• Assess and validate variation order submissions and provide recommendations to clients for approval.
• Attend project and site meetings to monitor contractual and commercial matters.
• Manage project budgets to align with approved financial targets.
• Collaborate with QS consultants in preparing final accounts and contract closure.
