Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a multinational manufacturing group in Malaysia. You will lead finance, accounting, compliance and administration, ensuring integrity, accurate reporting, and robust internal controls to support growth and operational excellence.

Expect a focus on standard costing, ERP environments, and multi-currency accounting, with collaboration across regional and corporate stakeholders to drive financial performance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience with leadership exposure.
• Proven experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in standard costing, manufacturing finance, and inventory accounting.
• Experience reporting under multiple accounting frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve finance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements, tax regs, and US/IFRS/IA frameworks.
• Oversee accounting operations in MYR and USD transactions.
• Coordinate audits and address findings with timely corrective actions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Provide financial analysis, variance reports, and performance reviews to management.
• Drive cost control initiatives with manufacturing teams and manage working capital.
• Maintain fixed asset records, inventory registers, and capex tracking.
