Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee all finance, accounting, and reporting activities for a manufacturing operation. The role ensures accuracy, compliance, cost management, and timely reporting to support business objectives.

You will lead the finance team, manage month-end closings, budgets, and cash flow, and work with cross-functional colleagues to drive process improvements while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA/CPA/CIMA/ICAEW or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years in finance, accounting, audit, and reporting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, and internal controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance team and daily finance activities.
• Oversee month-end closing, financial reporting, and group reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide insights for decision-making.
• Review costing information and manufacturing-related financial data for accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial objectives.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and other projects.
