Job summary

VAT Group in Batu Kawan, Malaysia is hiring for a permanent logistics role focused on end-to-end management of supplier-to-customer movements. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, liaise with suppliers, forwarders and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics/shipping, strong communication, team orientation and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in logistics/shipping.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Result and customer oriented team player.
• Ability to work under pressure and assertiveness.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge on CA/COO via MITI portal.

Responsibilities

• Manage, sustain and improve all logistics relevant processes from supplier, inbound, warehouse and through outbound until end customer and work with Order Processing team on shipment related matters to ensure meet customer requirements.
• Key contact person for all logistics issues between Suppliers, VAT MY and VAT CH.
• Key contact for 4PL activities.
• Provide accurate routing information to ensure delivery times and locations are coordinated.
• Source and obtain quotations from forwarders or transporters and perform cost comparisons for local transportation.
• Coordinate and ensure movements of goods are done according to schedule.
• Plan, manage and coordinate daily logistics activities including documents, customs clearance, Certificate of Origin and transport arrangements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth shipments and achieve company goals.
• Liaise with forwarder for required customs forms; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare and submit monthly and yearly reports to Customs in a timely manner.
• Handle all customs matters (import/export/contract manufacturing/ external services) and renew licenses.
• Develop and deliver Continuous Improvement Plans for future state maps.
• Prepare and apply cost analyses with MITI.
• Apply COO from MITI to customers and submit on time.
• Perform shipments via customer portal.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.
