Job summary

Deer Smart Technology is expanding globally and seeks a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to support daily finance operations, full set accounting, financial reporting, credit control, and statutory compliance. You will manage AP/AR/GL, perform month-end closing, and ensure accurate SST/E-invoice submissions for Malaysia.

The role requires 1-3 years of finance experience, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with SQL Account, Auto Count, or SAP.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software such as SQL Account, Auto Count, SAP or any other accounting software.
• Basic knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS/MPERS), accounting principles, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience in Malaysian SST and LHDN e-Invoice submission.
• Understanding of Malaysian corporate income tax for Sdn. Bhd. companies, including tax-deductible expenses.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to handle the accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) by independently.
• Assist the External Auditor, Tax Agent & Secretary.
• Able to close bank reconciliations for local & foreign currency.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily settlement processes, including accurate billing, data entry, and rigorous account reconciliation.
• Handle the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, and GL.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, including local and foreign currency transactions.
• Proactively follow up with customers by email and phone to ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices.
• Prepare and submit SST & E-invoice in accordance with Malaysian regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on audit matters, taxation, statutory filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other finance-related duties and provide administrative support as assigned.
