Job summary

The University of Nottingham Malaysia is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director of PaCE to lead the strategic growth of its executive and professional education portfolio, including Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).

This role requires developing regional growth strategies, managing budgets, and collaborating with UNM and the UK and China campuses to deliver profitable programmes across multiple markets. Travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/Doctoral degree advantageous.
• Ten years of progressive leadership in executive education, higher education, consulting or corporate learning; five years in a managerial role and three in a similar position.
• Proven track record in achieving revenue growth by launching and scaling professional development programmes; international delivery experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; other languages advantageous.
• Strong negotiating and presentation skills with a customer service mindset.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally and to work outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead PaCE functions, processes and policies to scale regionally; own annual revenue, profit margins and growth targets.
• Gather and analyse data to guide strategic decisions at team, department and university levels.
• Lead development of marketing messages for domestic and international markets.
• Collaborate with UNM, UK and China campuses for multi-campus opportunities and programme delivery.
• Oversee proposals, contract negotiations, trainer selection and related commercial activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior executives, trade and professional bodies to generate repeat business.
• Produce country and market analyses and strategic recommendations to contribute to regional strategies.
• Manage department and programme budgets with strong financial oversight.
• Coach and mentor staff and provide professional development.
