Job summary

Standard Chartered seeks a Lead Risk Manager - Data to provide first-line risk leadership across Technology & Operations data risk. You will oversee risk identification, assessment, and reporting, ensuring coherent and evidence-based risk management across data platforms, architecture, and governance.

The role requires driving remediation, controlling risk exposure and enhancing risk awareness throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Data, Technology, Risk, Audit, Law, Business, or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in data, technology, risk, controls, audit or assurance within complex, regulated organisations.
• Proven track record in risk assessments, control reviews, assurance activities and governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end risk management for Data Platform Management, Data Architecture & Platforms domain and supporting activities.
• Assess risks from data sourcing, ingestion, transformation, storage, retention and disposal.
• Assess impact of platform changes on downstream processes, reporting and customer outcomes.
• Challenge accountability where unresolved data lineage, quality or consumer impact requests remain.
• Lead risk assessments and treatment plans with milestones and evidence.
• Track RCSA progress, dependencies, and remediation actions.
