Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Senior Head of Risk Management within the T&O Risk & Governance (R&G) team. This senior role leads the risk management portfolio for Technology & Architecture, driving proactive risk identification, assessment, and remediation across supported domains.

The role ensures risk frameworks and control programmes are embedded in the First Line of Defence, overseeing audits, regulatory engagements, and risk reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in risk management, compliance, assurance or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and programme management skills.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of risk, control and regulatory requirements in Banking/FS.
• Fluency in English and ability to interact with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team with clear accountability.
• Oversee risk governance structures and reporting to governance committees.
• Coordinate regulatory engagements, audits and risk remediation actions.
• Embed risk frameworks and governance routines across 1LoD for Technology & Operations.
• Provide risk insights, MI, dashboards and escalation of material risks.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation and transformation programme risk management.
