Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Lead Risk Manager for International Markets (Malaysia/India). The role involves oversight of risk identification, assessment and reporting across assigned markets, and close collaboration with country management, CIO/COO organisations, and 2LoD teams.

You will drive risk-based challenges and ensure sustainable remediation in a complex, multi-country setting. Based in Malaysia or India, the role requires strong judgement balancing Group standards with country

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk, Technology, Audit, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in risk management, controls and assurance within complex, regulated organisations.
• Strong ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders and governance forums.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an integrated view of principal risk types across International Markets.
• Lead risk assessments and RCSA activities across countries and processes.
• Provide oversight of regulatory obligations, governance, and exception management.
• Lead issue management, remediation and governance reporting across markets.
