Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Risk Manager for International Markets to provide independent risk governance across multiple countries. The role focuses on risk identification, assessment, and reporting, with interaction across CIO/COO, 2LoD, and GIA teams to sustain a robust control environment.

The role emphasizes thematic reviews, regulatory alignment, and issue management across Technology & Operations International Markets, requiring strong judgement and cross-country collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in risk, technology, audit, business or finance.
• Extensive experience in risk assessment, controls, and governance.
• Strong ability to translate group requirements to local actions.
• Expertise in risk reporting and regulatory interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead T&O International Markets risk oversight and governance.
• Identify, assess and monitor material risks, issues and remediation.
• Provide challenge and escalation on regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate RCSA activities and assurance across markets.
• Deliver management reporting with clear insights and trends.
