Job summary

Evonik Industries AG is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist in Malaysia to join our finance team. You will process supplier invoices, employee claims, and intercompany invoices in SAP within defined SLAs, while maintaining strong relationships with Local Services and COE.

The role requires collaboration with AP colleagues to ensure accurate document processing and timely issue resolution. You will contribute to closing timelines, handle queries from internal and external stakeholders, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Business Administration/Accounting or equivalent required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in Accounts Payable and SSC environment is an advantage.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to corporate procedures, policies and internal guidelines; maintain records for audit.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Local Services and COE.
• Validate and post 3rd party invoices, InterCo invoices and employee claims in SAP within SLAs.
• Process other AP transactions per local requirements; assist with activity splits.
• Collaborate with AP team members to ensure accurate document processing and issue resolution.
• Ensure closing timelines meet Group Corporate requirements.
• Handle group mailbox queries from internal and external stakeholders promptly.
• Coordinate troubleshooting, decision making, and communicating potential issues.
• Update SOPs and work instructions in a timely manner.
• Participate in continuous process improvement for efficiency and effectiveness.
