Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior geotechnical engineer to lead studies and design for infrastructure projects in Malaysia. You will provide technical leadership across foundations, excavations, slopes and underground works.

The role requires 8–10 years in geotechnical engineering, proficiency with PLAXIS/GEO-STUDIO, and knowledge of Eurocode 7 and local standards. You will coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams and contribute to proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university; Master's/PhD preferred.
• 8–10 years of geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong experience in geotechnical analysis and design for infrastructure, rail, buildings or underground projects.
• Proficient in PLAXIS, GEO-STUDIO or equivalent geotechnical software.
• Good knowledge of Eurocode 7 and Malaysian standards.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with sound engineering judgement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in multidisciplinary coordination.
• BEM Professional Engineer (Ir.) or eligibility for registration advantageous.
