You will link project management, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure schedules, quality and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in project coordination, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.

• 1–3 years in project coordination or similar role in construction/engineering.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills; able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Facilitate communication among project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, drawings, specifications and compliance records.
• Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and escalate to senior management as needed.
• Assist with site inspections, meetings and project reviews.

About the role

ZHAO YANG GEOTECHNIC SDN. BHD. is seeking a Project Engineering Coordinator to join our team in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of our geotechnical engineering projects. As a Project Engineering Coordinator, you will be the vital link between project management, engineering teams, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle. This role is essential to maintaining project schedules, quality standards, and client satisfaction whilst supporting the broader objectives of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating project schedules, timelines and milestones to ensure all engineering activities are completed on time and within budget
• Liaising between project managers, engineering staff, clients and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
• Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including reports, drawings, specifications and compliance records
• Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks or delays, escalating issues to senior project management as required
• Assisting with the organisation and coordination of site inspections, meetings and project reviews
• Supporting the collection and management of project data, including technical specifications and quality assurance records
• Coordinating with engineering teams to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards and regulatory guidelines
• Providing administrative support to project engineers and contributing to the continuous improvement of project processes

What we're looking for

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, project engineering or a similar support role within the construction or engineering sector
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear, professional documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with project management software or tools
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in technical documentation and project records
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also working independently with minimal supervision
• A solid understanding of geotechnical engineering principles, construction processes and project management practices
• Knowledge of Malaysian building codes, construction standards and regulatory requirements is advantageous
