Job summary

COMPOSITES TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Malaysia. The role requires a bachelor's degree and at least 1 year in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. You will handle PRs/POs, source suppliers, monitor deliveries, and ensure materials meet quality standards.

You will collaborate with internal departments, manage supplier performance, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives while adhering to company policies and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, procurement, or SCM.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP systems experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Source, assess, and evaluate suppliers based on capability, capacity, quality, price, and delivery.
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules and ensure timely materials/services.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate to avoid shortages or excess.
• Ensure all purchased materials meet quality and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve procurement issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify supply risks.
• Prepare procurement reports and support cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and KPIs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process purchase requisitions (PR) and issue purchase orders (PO) in a timely manner based on approved requirements.

Source, assess, and evaluate suppliers based on capability, capacity, quality, price, and delivery performance.

Monitor supplier delivery schedules and follow up to ensure materials and services are delivered on time.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent material shortages and excess inventory.

Ensure all purchased materials, parts, and services meet company, quality, and technical requirements.

Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve procurement, technical, quality, delivery, and payment issues.

Monitor supplier performance and identify potential supply risks to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Prepare procurement reports, analyse purchasing costs, and support cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and departmental KPIs.
