Job summary

AD ARTISAN MANUFACTURING SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Chief Operations/Head of Manufacturing to lead daily factory operations, drive growth and ensure quality and timely delivery. You will oversee production, quality control, warehousing and budgeting while implementing policies from senior management.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10–15 years in technical, operations or engineering roles, with at least 5 years at senior management level.

You will be responsible for managing departmental or unit costs to ensure the company's strong financial position, implementing policies and strategies set by senior management, and preparing and managing budgets for all areas of the furniture factory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily factory operations, production, quality control, warehousing and timely delivery to ensure efficiency and high standards
• Manage departmental or unit costs to ensure the company's strong financial position
• Implement policies and strategies set by senior management such as Directors or Managing Directors
• Prepare and manage budgets for all areas of the furniture factory
• Lead, motivate and manage workforce to ensure they are committed and productive
• Lead product research and innovation, market positioning, planning and marketing strategy for the company's product range
• Design sales strategy and lead or coordinate sales team structure while maintaining ongoing relationships with business partners
• Enforce Environment, Safety and Health (EHS) policies through comprehensive management systems, establish appropriate safety protocols and risk assessments
• Monitor departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), set performance targets and implement continuous improvement initiatives

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or related technical field
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in technical, operations, or engineering field
• At least 5 years of experience at senior management level or leading technical departments
• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, budgets, and schedule compliance
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with senior management and customers
• In-depth knowledge of safety standards, industry quality standards, and risk control
• Ability to formulate long-term strategy and solve complex problems
