Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned engineering and project management leader to oversee engineering, construction and project operations across sites while achieving scope, schedule, quality and budget goals.

You will develop plans, monitor progress, manage risks and coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver on time and within budget, while maintaining client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, project management or related industries, including at least 5 years in a managerial or senior management role.
• Proven experience managing engineering and/or construction projects from planning through completion.
• Strong experience leading multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of construction and engineering project execution, commercial management and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering, construction and project operations to meet scope, schedule, quality and budget.
• Develop project plans, targets and execution strategies; monitor progress, profitability, risks and performance, and take corrective action when required.
• Lead and coordinate engineering, project management, procurement, construction, commercial and support teams for timely completion.
• Provide management direction on engineering and technical matters, including designs, drawings and project documentation.
• Review major technical issues and ensure solutions comply with requirements and client specifications.
• Support business development, tendering and commercial activities including feasibility, variations and claims.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and partners, representing the Company in key meetings.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier selection and performance, ensuring compliance with contracts, quality, safety and schedule.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, contractual, safety, environmental and quality requirements, including risk management and corrective actions.
• Lead, motivate and develop teams by setting clear responsibilities, targets and performance expectations.
• Provide regular management reports on progress, financial performance, risks, safety and operations.
• Drive productivity, efficiency and business growth, including adoption of improved practices.
• Ensure proper project handover, completion documentation and close-out.

Oversee the overall engineering, construction and project operations, ensuring activities are delivered in line with approved scope, schedule, quality, budget and company objectives.

Develop project plans, targets and execution strategies; monitor project progress, profitability, risks and performance, and take corrective action when required.

Lead and coordinate engineering, project management, procurement, construction, commercial and support teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.

Provide management direction on engineering and technical matters, including designs, drawings, specifications, technical submissions and project documentation.

Review major technical issues and ensure engineering solutions comply with project requirements, applicable standards and client specifications.

Support business development, tendering and commercial activities, including project feasibility, negotiations, variations, claims and other commercial matters.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and business partners, and represent the Company in key meetings and negotiations.
