Job summary

KEJURUTERAAN RIAZ SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager in Malaysia to plan, supervise and deliver multi-disciplinary projects from inception to handover.

The role requires strong leadership to drive site teams, coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with drawings, contracts and safety standards. You will develop schedules, monitor budgets, manage resources and oversee quality control to ensure timely completion within approved

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction/project management.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and oversee construction projects from commencement to completion.
• Develop project schedules, work plans and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate and monitor daily progress of construction activities.
• Manage project resources including manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, QA/QC, Safety, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, contracts and project requirements.
• Monitor project costs, budget and overall expenditure.
• Identify risks, delays and issues and implement solutions.
• Monitor quality and safety compliance with project specifications.
• Attend project meetings with stakeholders and prepare progress reports.
• Monitor subcontractors' performance and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals and handover activities.
• Prepare and review project plans, drawings and method statements.
• Maintain project documentation and records and report to management.

Job description

Plan, manage and oversee construction projects from commencement to completion.

Coordinate closely with Site Engineers, QA/QC, Safety, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.

Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, contracts and project requirements.

Monitor project costs, budget and overall expenditure.

Identify potential project risks, delays and issues, and implement appropriate solutions.

Monitor the quality of construction works and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant safety, health and environmental requirements.

Review project plans, drawings, specifications, method statements and other technical documents.

Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

Prepare and review project progress reports, schedules and relevant documentation.

Monitor subcontractors' performance and ensure works are completed according to agreed timelines and standards.

Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals and project handover activities.

Manage variations, site instructions and other project-related matters where required.

Ensure proper project documentation and records are maintained throughout the project.

Provide regular updates to management regarding project progress, costs, issues and completion status.

Ensure the project is completed within the approved time, cost, quality and safety requirements.

Perform other duties related to project management as assigned by the management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction/project management.

Proven experience in managing construction projects from planning to completion.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, project planning and site management.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contracts.

Good knowledge of project scheduling, cost control and resource management.

Familiar with construction quality and safety requirements.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Good coordination skills with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Able to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
