Job summary

SOUTHERN AUTO CAPITAL SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a motivated General Insurance Executive to grow our general insurance business and manage the full policy lifecycle.

You will handle new sales, renewals, customer servicing, claims processing and premium collection, collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey. The role requires a Diploma or degree, 1–3 years’ experience in general insurance sales, customer service or claims, and strong English and Bahasa

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any field; Business, Finance or Insurance preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in general insurance sales, customer service or claims.
• Proficient in MS Office with familiarity of insurance systems advantageous.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate new general insurance business and identify sales opportunities.
• Manage policy renewals for the assigned portfolio to keep retention high.
• Handle policyholder enquiries, policy amendments and general servicing.
• Manage claims from registration to settlement, liaising with insurers, workshops and adjusters.
• Coordinate with Accounts on premium payments and disbursements.
• Monitor premium collection and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new general insurance business and identify sales opportunities
• Manage policy renewals for the assigned portfolio to keep retention high
• Handle policyholder enquiries, policy amendments and general servicing
• Manage claims from registration to settlement, following up with insurers, workshops and adjusters
• Coordinate with the Accounts team on premium payments and claim-related disbursements
• Monitor premium collection and follow up on outstanding payments
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree in any field (Business, Finance or Insurance preferred)
• 1–3 years’ experience in general insurance sales, customer service or claims
• Sales-driven, with good interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Working knowledge of general insurance claims processes and documentation
• Customer-focused, with strong follow-through and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with insurance agency management systems is an advantage
• PCEIA certification is an advantage
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage
