Job summary

HSBC Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced FX Product Manager to lead Retail Cash FX, transactional FX, Global Payments and Dual Currency Investment products.

You will drive product strategy, pricing, and customer proposition to optimise profitability while ensuring compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia. The role demands strong leadership and regional market insight in a hybrid Kuala Lumpur setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/business/marketing or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in financial institutions or related field.
• Extensive experience in product management across sales, product and distribution.
• Knowledge of regional practices, standards and markets is a plus.
• Strong academic credentials with investments-related accreditations.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
• Proven track record of business results with commercial focus and rigorous implementation.
• Demonstrable leadership and country relationship management across geographically diverse countries.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow Retail Cash FX, transactional FX, Global Payments and Dual Currency Investment products.
• Plan, influence and develop products to optimise profitability through pricing and customer proposition.
• Lead compliant implementation of Bank Negara Malaysia FX policies.
• Drive revenue through joint promotions with Retail Deposits, Proposition and other stakeholders.
• Analyze market environment and identify initiatives to grow market share or counter competitors.
• Lead change initiatives for Cash FX, Global Payments and DCI.
• Develop or enhance systems to improve performance and customer satisfaction while reducing costs.
• Ensure awareness and implementation of Group Compliance policies.
