Job summary

Genki Sushi Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring a Fulltime Crew for Sunway Velocity. The role involves assisting chefs with food prep, cooking sushi rice, maintaining cleanliness, restocking during service, and supporting the sushi chef with garnishes and sauces.

Training is provided to maintain high food safety standards and a smooth operation during peak hours. Prior kitchen experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, including washing, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
• Prepare and cook sushi rice according to standard recipes.
• Wash, sanitize, and organize kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
• Restock ingredients and supplies during service as needed.
• Support the sushi chef by preparing garnishes, sauces, and side items.
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain a tidy work area.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (e.g., HACCP standards).
• Help with dishwashing and general kitchen cleanup duties.
• Monitor food storage temperatures and report any issues.
• Assist during peak hours to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Follow instructions from kitchen supervisors or head chef promptly.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
