Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python. You will create RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external systems and collaborate closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams.

The role requires 1–4 years of experience, familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL), and understanding of microservices, JWT/OAuth, and CI/CD workflows. Strong problem solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Python for backend services or automation.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of REST APIs, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and microservices concepts.
• Experience with Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and good communication abilities.
