Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a software engineer to design, develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python-based tooling. You will build RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs for internal and external systems, working closely with frontend, product and DevOps teams.

You will write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews and contribute to backend architecture and documentation. The role requires 1–4 years of professional experience and strong collaboration in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on Python for backend services, scripting or automation.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, authentication mechanisms such as JWT/OAuth, and microservices concepts.
• Experience with Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
