About the role

We are seeking a Fresh Market Expert to join Servay Evergreen Sdn Bhd in a full-time capacity based in Penampang, Sabah. AsFresh Market Expert, you will be responsible to manage the quality, sourcing, pricing and merchandising of fresh products whilst maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

Responsible and manage fresh market daily operations including fresh produce and ensuring optimal stock levels and product quality and availability

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure good quality fresh products and reaching for reliable suppliers of competitive prices

Conduct regular quality check assessment of fresh produce to maintain consistency expectation of our regular customers

Monitor market trends and competitors' activities especially pricing strategies and products selection

Leading, mentoring and guiding all related staff performance to ensure attribution excellences services about fresh market

Ensure compliance with health, safety and food handling regulations of fresh produce and fresh product

Track and monitoring fresh market profitability targets through effective cost management and revenue generation

What we're looking for

Proven experience in fresh produce management or a similar retail management role within the consumer products sector

Comprehensive knowledge of fresh market operations, including sourcing, quality control and merchandising best practices

Strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing strategies and consumer preferences for fresh produce

Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers and negotiate commercial terms effectively

Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

Knowledge of health, safety and food hygiene regulations relevant to fresh produce handling

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Proven track record of meeting departmental targets and driving profitability

Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing market conditions

Relevant retail management qualification or certification is advantageous
