Job summary

HL FORKLIFT SDN BHD is seeking a proactive Forklift Sales Executive to develop new customers and grow our forklift and after-sales business in Sabah. This is a combined sales and business development role focusing on selling forklifts while also developing rental, repair, maintenance and spare parts opportunities.

The successful candidate will coordinate with the service team for inspections, visits and quotations, and will travel to visit customers regularly; Bahasa Malaysia and English are

Qualifications

• Proactive, responsible and self-motivated.
• Confident in approaching and developing new customers.
• Able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Able to follow up consistently and complete assigned work on time.
• Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Willing to travel and visit customers regularly.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Mandarin communication skills will be an advantage.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.
• Experience in forklift, truck, heavy machinery or industrial equipment sales will be an advantage.
• Candidates without forklift experience are welcome to apply.
• Product knowledge and basic technical training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customers and explore new market opportunities.
• Conduct daily customer visits and maintain regular market coverage.
• Promote and sell new and reconditioned forklifts.
• Develop forklift rental business.
• Develop forklift repair, maintenance and spare parts business.
• Understand customers’ current forklift operations and equipment requirements.
• Collect relevant forklift model, condition, fault and site information.
• Coordinate with the service team for technical inspections and evaluations.
• Prepare and follow up on forklift sales, rental and service quotations.
• Arrange site visits, product presentations, demonstrations and test drives when required.
• Follow up consistently on customer enquiries, quotations, decisions and payments.
• Maintain accurate customer visit and follow-up records.
• Identify forklift replacement or upgrade opportunities from existing service customers.
• Achieve the sales and business development targets set by the company.
• Complete assigned duties independently and within the required timeline.
