Job summary

HL Forklift Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah offers a role to manage the forklift service and maintenance department. You will plan and supervise technicians, monitor progress, and handle complex technical issues to ensure timely repairs and high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in repairing forklifts, heavy machinery, automotive or industrial equipment.
• Good knowledge of diesel/electric forklifts and hydraulic/electrical systems is an advantage.
• Experience in managing a service team or technical department.

Job Responsibilities

Manage the entire forklift service and maintenance department.

Plan, assign and supervise the technicians' daily work.

Monitor repair quality and minimise repeated faults and rework.

Establish and enforce departmental procedures, discipline and KPIs.

Provide regular updates to management on departmental progress and issues.

Requirements

Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.

Experience in repairing forklifts, heavy machinery, automotive or industrial equipment.

Knowledge of diesel forklifts, electric forklifts, hydraulic and electrical systems is an advantage.

Experience in managing a service team or technical department.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to organise and supervise employees.

Able to make decisions and solve technical and management issues independently.

Responsible, proactive and able to complete work without constant reminders or supervision.

Good customer communication and departmental coordination skills.

Able to work under pressure and manage urgent repair situations.

Must possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel for work when required.
