Job summary

Qualifications

• SPM/SKM/Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with heavy equipment.
• Experience with forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts or similar heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairing and servicing work of construction and heavy lifting machinery including forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lift.
• Perform servicing, oil changes, lubrication, adjustments, replacement of parts, and general overhaul works.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns at sites and carry out necessary repairs promptly.
• Maintain proper records of findings, servicing, repairs, inspections, and spare parts used.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Ensure compliance with workshop safety standards and PPE usage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, workbench, and work area.
• Carry out any other mechanical or maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.

Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out repairing and servicing work of construction and heavy lifting machinery including forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lift.

Perform servicing, oil changes, lubrication, adjustments, replacement of parts, and general overhaul works

Attend to equipment breakdowns at sites and carry out necessary repairs promptly.

Maintain proper records of findings, servicing, repairs, inspections, and spare parts used.

Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

Ensure compliance with workshop safety standards and PPE usage.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, workbench, and work area.

Carry out any other mechanical or maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

SPM / SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or a related field.

At least 1-2 years of working experience as a mechanic, preferably in heavy equipment, construction, lifting equipment.

Experience in maintaining forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, or other heavy lifting machinery will be an added advantage.

Ability to use mechanical measurement tools and basic diagnostic equipment.

Possess a valid Malaysia driving licence (Class D). GDL will be an advantage.

Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and able to work with minimum supervision.
