Job summary

Katrin BJ Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Food Merchandiser for our Retail & Consumer Products team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. The role focuses on optimal product displays, stock levels, and promotions across retail locations to drive customer satisfaction and sales.

Responsibilities include managing shelf presentation, rotating stock for freshness, coordinating with store staff, recording sales data, and supporting launches.

• Gathering market intelligence and competitor information to inform merchandising strategies.
• Liaising with retail store managers and staff to optimise product placement and availability.
• Recording sales data and providing feedback to management on product performance and customer preferences.
• Supporting promotional activities and product launches in assigned retail locations.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of merchandising areas.

About the role

Katrin BJ Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Merchandiser to join our dynamic Retail & Consumer Products team. This is a full-time position based in Subang Jaya, Selangor. As a Food Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our food products are optimally displayed, stocked, and presented across retail environments. Your work will directly impact customer experience, product visibility, and sales performance, making you an essential part of our retail operations and business success.

What you'll be doing

• Merchandising and displaying food products in retail locations according to company guidelines and promotional campaigns
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring adequate inventory of food items on shelves and display areas
• Rotating stock to maintain freshness and quality standards, removing expired or damaged products
• Building and maintaining attractive product displays and promotional point-of-sale materials
• Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Food Merchandiser or similar retail merchandising role within the consumer products or retail sector
• Strong knowledge of food retail environments, product categories, and merchandising best practices
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of product presentation
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and position products regularly, as well as work on feet for extended periods
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with store staff and management
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards and regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple retail locations efficiently
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Familiarity with retail management systems and basic data recording preferred
• Willingness to travel to different retail locations as required
