Job summary

J&T Express (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a fleet operations lead in Selangor to manage daily truck fleet availability, driver assignment, and dispatch planning, ensuring adherence to schedules across the network.

You will optimize daily trips, coordinate maintenance, monitor KPIs, and guide dispatchers while collaborating with partners to resolve issues and maintain cost efficiency. This role requires 2–4 years in transport and a diploma, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Lead daily truck fleet operations by availability, driver assignment, dispatch planning, and adherence to schedules.
• Plan and optimize daily trip schedules and fleet utilization, including quick adjustments for urgent shipments, delays, or breakdowns.
• Oversee fleet documents (trip logs, fuel usage, mileage, tolls, GPS data) for accurate records.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to keep vehicles roadworthy and safe.
• Supervise dispatchers and collaborate with internal partners to resolve operational issues.
• Monitor fleet KPIs (on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, breakdown frequency) to support cost-control efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily truck fleet operations by availability, driver assignment, dispatch planning, and adherence to designated schedules
• Plan and optimize daily trip schedules and fleet utilization, including making quick adjustments for urgent shipments, delays, or vehicle breakdown
• Oversee and verify all fleet-related documents such as trip logs, fuel usage, mileage, tolls, and GPS data to ensure accurate and updated records on time
• Coordinate closely with Maintenance to ensure vehicles undergo timely servicing, remain roadworthy, and comply with safety standards
• Lead, guide, and supervise dispatchers and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve operational issues
• Monitor and analyze fleet KPIs such as on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and breakdown frequency to support continuous cost-control efforts
