Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in fishing or fishing tackle is a strong advantage.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays.
• Basic computer/POS skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing fishing rods, reels, lines, lures, hooks, baits, and other fishing equipment
• Explain product features, prices, and suitable applications
• Recommend equipment based on the customer's fishing style, target fish, budget, and experience
• Handle sales transactions and prepare quotations when required
• Follow up with customers and encourage repeat purchases
• Maintain product displays and ensure the shop is clean and organized
• Check stock levels and assist with stock receiving and inventory
• Help with product demonstrations and basic rigging, such as tying knots or setting up rods and reels
• Keep up with new fishing products, brands, and local fishing trends
• Achieve monthly sales targets and participate in promotions
