Job summary

ACE Fire Protection & Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Fire Extinguisher & Maintenance Technician based in Penang to perform inspection, servicing and maintenance of fire extinguishers and related safety equipment on-site.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Based in Penang)

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fire Extinguisher & Maintenance Technician based in Georgetown, Penang. The technician will inspect, test, service, and maintain fire extinguishers and associated fire safety equipment in accordance with relevant standards and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on fire extinguishers and related fire safety equipment

Inspect and test fire safety equipment in accordance with relevant standards and company procedures

Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues

Carry out repairs or replacements when necessary

Document service activities and prepare reports

Ensure accurate records for compliance and customer reference

Interact with clients on-site and provide basic guidance on safe use and handling of equipment

Support general safety initiatives as required

About you

Ability to perform equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair on fire extinguishers and related fire safety systems

Skills in troubleshooting equipment issues and conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime

Experience or exposure to industrial maintenance environments or similar technical service settings

Basic understanding of fire safety standards, regulations, and inspection procedures (training can be provided)

Secondary school or vocational/technical certification in a mechanical, electrical, or related field is an advantage

Comfort working on-site at customer premises, including commercial and industrial locations

Strong attention to detail, ability to follow safety protocols, and maintain accurate service documentation

Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Penang and nearby areas, as needed
