Job summary

Prudential Services Asia in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Assistant Manager to lead Finance Operations across Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Intercompany, Fixed Asset, and Lease Accounting in a high-volume shared services environment.

The role ensures accurate processing, strong controls, SLA delivery, and ongoing governance while driving automation and continuous improvement. It requires 5–7 years of relevant experience and a hands-on, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in finance operations within a shared services or high-volume environment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Coupa, Workday, OneStream or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Finance Operations activities and coordinate team execution to ensure accurate processing and policy compliance.
• Manage Accounts Payable processes including invoice validation, processing, payment support and ongoing vendor maintenance.
• Oversee Travel & Expense processing, employee reimbursements and corporate card administrations to meet SLA targets.
• Support monthly intercompany reconciliation and settlement activities to resolve aging and open items.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, asset verifications, depreciation runs and capital expenditure reporting.
• Assist lease accounting per IFRS 16 / MFRS 16, including schedule maintenance and period-end reporting.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Uphold strong internal controls, audit readiness, compliance, and segregation of duties.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, standardization, and knowledge sharing across Finance Operations.
• Coordinate, guide, and support team members, fostering a service-oriented and collaborative culture.
