Job summary

Pressco Design & Build Sdn. Bhd. in Johor Bahru, Malaysia is seeking an Account Executive to support and manage bookkeeping operations, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting.

The role requires a Diploma/degree in Accounting or related field, with proven bookkeeping experience and strong Excel skills. You will liaise with clients and vendors, assist with tax documents, and support budgeting and forecasting in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts management, or a similar accounting role within a small to medium-sized practice or business.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
• Sound understanding of general accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining general ledger entries.
• Preparing and processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reconciling bank statements on a monthly basis.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Liaising with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding financial queries and documentation.
• Supporting the preparation of tax documents and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
• Performing other accounting duties and special projects as assigned by management
