Job summary

UIS Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Finance Officer/Executive to support full accounting functions, with a focus on GL, AR, month-end close, and financial reporting. You will work independently in a fast-paced environment in Penang, Malaysia.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in Accounting and has GL/AR experience, strong Excel skills, and a high level of analytical ability with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), account reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PPT.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain General Ledger (GL) accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other accounting adjustments.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within reporting deadlines.
• Prepare monthly management reports and supporting schedules.
• Review and analyse balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciliation issues promptly.
• Manage customer invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable records.
• Monitor AR ageing and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all reconciling items are properly resolved.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and coordinate annual asset verification exercises.
• Review and prepare monthly Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) reports and ensure compliance with Royal Malaysian Customs requirements.

Job description

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Finance Officer / Executive to support the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, with primary responsibilities in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), month-end closing, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a high level of accountability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

Manage and maintain General Ledger (GL) accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other accounting adjustments.

About you

Diploma, Degree, or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), account reconciliations, and month-end closing.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, word & PPT.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
