Job summary

UIS Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Finance Officer/Executive to support full accounting functions, with a focus on GL, AR, month-end close, and financial reporting. You will work independently in a fast-paced environment in Penang, Malaysia.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in Accounting and has GL/AR experience, strong Excel skills, and a high level of analytical ability with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), account reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PPT.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain General Ledger (GL) accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other accounting adjustments.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within reporting deadlines.
• Prepare monthly management reports and supporting schedules.
• Review and analyse balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciliation issues promptly.
• Manage customer invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable records.
• Monitor AR ageing and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all reconciling items are properly resolved.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and coordinate annual asset verification exercises.
• Review and prepare monthly Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) reports and ensure compliance with Royal Malaysian Customs requirements.
