Job summary

Addiction Pet Foods is seeking an experienced Finance Manager – Individual Contributor to manage financial operations and provide insights for Greater China while hands-on with accounting tasks. The role requires SAP expertise and ability to read/write Chinese, located in Malaysia with full-time commitment.

The ideal candidate will handle month-end close, management reporting, budgeting, and intercompany activities, ensuring policy compliance and strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Solid experience in financial accounting, management reporting and analysis.
• Hands-on SAP knowledge and experience.
• Must be able to read and write Chinese; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting requirements.
• Perform budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial performance analysis.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions.
• Review AP, AR, GL, intercompany transactions and other accounting activities.
• Support cash flow monitoring and working capital management.
• Maintain strong financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Work extensively with SAP for accounting, reporting and financial data analysis.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax agents and other service providers.
• Review and understand Chinese-language financial documents, invoices, reports and business correspondence.
• Support finance requirements across multiple entities and markets as required.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to support our finance operations, reporting, controls, and business analysis.

This is an individual contributor role suited to someone who is comfortable being hands-on with accounting and finance activities while also providing meaningful financial insights to management.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Solid experience in financial accounting, management reporting and analysis.
• Previous experience at Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or equivalent level.
• Strong hands-on SAP knowledge and experience.
• Must be able to read and write Chinese.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Comfortable working as an Individual Contributor rather than managing a large finance team.
• Based in Malaysia.

Preferred

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience supporting multiple countries/entities, particularly Malaysia, China and/or Taiwan.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, food, consumer goods or a multinational environment.
