Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior finance professional to lead the accounting function at Subang Airport, Selangor. You will manage the full set of accounts, oversee month-end closing and contribute to financial reporting for the aviation business.

The role requires 7+ years in accounting/auditing, with at least 3 years in a leadership position, and hands-on ERP experience, preferably MS Dynamics, coupled with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or recognized professional qualification.
• Minimum 7 years in Accounting/Auditing, with at least 3 years in managing a team.
• Experience handling full set of accounts: AR, AP, GL, reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Hands-on ERP experience; MS Dynamics advantageous.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, audit and statutory requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with stakeholders.
• Ability to lead, manage and develop a finance team.
• Aviation industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts: P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow.
• Perform reconciliations: bank, credit card, accounts.
• Review invoices, monitor receivables/payables; ensure timely billing.
• Liaise with clients on billing and payment status.
• Prepare taxes and statutory submissions on time.
• Assist audits with requested information.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for Head of Department.
• Maintain accounting controls and compliance with policies.
• Maintain records using accounting/ERP systems.

This opportunity is within the aviation industry and is based in Subang Airport, Selangor.

Key responsibilities

Handle full set of accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and general ledger

Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, cash flow and other financial reports

Perform bank, credit card and account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records

Review sales invoices, monitor receivables and payables, and ensure timely billing, collection and payments

Liaise with clients on billing, invoices, payment status and any payment-related matters

Prepare and submit taxes and statutory requirements accurately and on a timely basis

Assist with audits and provide the necessary financial information and supporting documents to auditors

Prepare periodic financial reports and present financial information to the Head of Department

Ensure proper accounting controls, compliance with accounting principles, regulations and company policies

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting/ERP systems

Requirements

Degree in Accounting or a recognized professional accounting qualification

Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting and/or Auditing, with at least 3 years of experience in managing a team

Proven ability to handle a full set of accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliation and month-end closing

Hands-on experience with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly advantageous

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies

Process-driven, detail-oriented and highly organised, with strong attention to accuracy and deadlines

Good knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, audit and statutory requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Ability to lead, manage and develop a finance team effectively

Aviation industry experience is an added advantage.
