Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a senior finance professional to lead accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, GL, inventory and revenue recognition, with oversight of tax matters and cash flow.

You will prepare monthly financial statements, coordinate regulatory reporting, and support month-end and year-end close, working with auditors and banks to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

• ACCA or Bachelor degree in Finance/Accountancy.
• Professional qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and circulate regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close, liaising with auditors, bankers, insurers and stakeholders.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Oversee tax filings and government reporting requirements.
• Develop and document accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• In charge of accounting system maintenance and integration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, cash flow monitoring, and tax matters
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and circulate monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process, liaising with auditors, bankers, insurers and the necessary stakeholders to ensure timely audit and its completion
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• In charge of accounting system, and in addition support other system maintenance and integration

About you

• Possess at least ACCA or Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 10 years of experience in finance
• Working experiences in manufacturing is preferred
