Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Several years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash-flow management.
  • Analytical and numerical with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules, deadlines, and priorities accurately.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain journal entries, invoices, creditors, debtors, cash schedules.
  • Maintain cash flow schedules and monitor inflows/outflows and funding needs.
  • Prepare/update trial balance, balance sheet, and P&L schedules.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain prepayment schedules and allocate transactions accurately.
  • Monitor accounts receivable/payable to support timely collections and payments.
  • Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Prepare timely financial reports, analysis, and management updates.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and relevant parties to resolve issues.
  • Support month-end/year-end closing and keep schedules current.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and reporting processes.

  • Maintain cash flow schedules and monitor cash inflows, outflows, and funding requirements.

  • Prepare and update trial balance, balance sheet, and profit and loss schedules.

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly.

  • Maintain prepayment schedules and ensure accurate recording and allocation of transactions.

  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable information to support timely collections and payments.

  • Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency across accounting records and supporting schedules.

  • Prepare clear and timely financial reports, analysis, and updates for management review.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and relevant parties to resolve finance and accounting issues.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure accounting schedules remain current and well-organised.

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, reporting processes, and schedule management.

What we are looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is an advantage.

  • Several years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or financial management.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cash-flow management.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple schedules, deadlines, and priorities accurately.

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
