Job summary

Worldtech Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance Manager in Malaysia to lead the finance department, oversee accounting, budgeting, reporting and compliance. The role supports management in business planning and decision-making as the retiring Finance Manager is replaced to ensure smooth continuity.

The successful candidate will supervise daily finance operations, drive monthly closings, manage regulatory submissions and liaise with auditors, tax agents and banks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • Commercial accounting qualifications such as ACCA/CPA/CIMA are advantageous.
  • Experience in finance, accounting and leading teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee finance department operations and supervise the team.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, GL, and financial transactions.
  • Coordinate monthly close, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and laws.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and payments.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the Finance Department and supervise the finance team.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial transactions.
  • Manage the monthly and year-end closing process accurately and within the required timeline.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure financial records and reports comply with Malaysian accounting standards and applicable laws.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, payments and financial documents.
  • Monitor cash flow, operating results, budgets and actual expenditure.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
  • Support the development of short- and long-term financial and business plans.
  • Manage statutory reporting, taxation matters, audits and regulatory submissions.
  • Develop and improve financial policies, procedures, internal controls and financial systems.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and provide guidance on complex accounting matters.
  • Work with other Heads of Department on budgets, planning and business initiatives.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, investors and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure the Finance Department meets all reporting deadlines and maintains a high standard of performance.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in finance, accounting and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation and statutory requirements.
  • Good analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage deadlines and handle confidential financial information.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
