We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the financial and accounting operations of our Malaysia entity. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, tax compliance, reporting and internal controls, while working closely with our Group Finance team in China. This role requires a strong understanding of Malaysian accounting and tax requirements, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
Oversee the overall finance and accounting functions of the Malaysia operations, including financial planning, budgeting, cost control and cash flow management.
Manage and supervise daily accounting operations to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial records.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Work closely with the Group Finance team in China on group consolidation, financial reporting and audit matters.
Ensure compliance with applicable MFRS, IFRS and Malaysian accounting and statutory requirements.
Manage corporate tax, SST and other relevant tax compliance matters, including tax planning and ensuring tax efficiency while maintaining full compliance.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks and relevant government authorities on financial and statutory matters.
Analyse financial and operational data and provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to management to support business decisions.
Monitor financial risks, internal controls and cost management, and recommend improvements where necessary.
Lead, develop and coach the Finance team to improve professional capabilities, accuracy and operational efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Banking or a related discipline.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including proven experience in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
Experience in a multinational company, China-based company or regional/Southeast Asian operations will be an advantage.
Experience in a manufacturing or fast-growing business environment is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
Experience with Kingdee K3 or other ERP/accounting systems is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different departments and international teams.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with the Group Finance team and management in China.
