• Knowledge of financial reporting and general ledger operations.

• Preference for ACCA/ICAS candidates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts with accuracy and compliance.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts and reports for decision-making.
• Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with audits and statutory reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and asset verifications.
• Support payroll accounting entries.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements in accounting systems.

About the role

We are seeking a Finance & Management Accounts Executive to join TONG SUN NURSERY SDN. BHD. in Ipoh, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and strategic decision-making of our organisation. As Finance & Management Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management accounts, and providing financial insights that drive business performance. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with accounting standards whilst delivering timely and reliable financial information to support management and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification, payment processing and reconciliation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports to support management decision‑making and business planning
• Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts
• Assist with the preparation of financial data for audits and statutory reporting requirements
• Maintain fixed asset registers and conduct asset verifications
• Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of payroll‑related accounting entries
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closing procedures
• Liaise with external auditors and provide supporting documentation as required
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• min 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and management accounts
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and best practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in financial records
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Sound understanding of financial reporting, management accounting and general ledger operations
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non‑accounting stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement
• Professional and ethical approach to financial management
• Preference for candidates working towards or holding accounting certifications such as ACCA or ICAS
