Job summary

Confidential invites applications for a finance role in Malaysia. The successful candidate will handle month-end close, journal entries, and postings to the General Ledger, while liaising with departments to ensure timely documentation of all financial transactions.

Strong Excel skills and exposure to Power Query or automation tools are advantageous. Fresh graduates with internship exposure in audit, GL and AR are welcomed to apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing with schedules, cash flow info and management reports.
• Prepare and process journal entries and post to General Ledger.
• Perform Accounts Payable and/or General Ledger functions including invoice processing, payments and reconciliations.
• Liaise with departments to ensure timely submission and documentation of finance transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.

Job description

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, including preparation of relevant schedules, cash flow information and management reports.
• Prepare and process journal entries and ensure transactions are accurately and timely posted to the General Ledger.
• Perform assigned Accounts Payable and/or General Ledger functions, including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations and accounting schedules.
• Liaise with various departments to ensure timely submission and proper documentation of finance-related transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding or unreconciled items on a timely basis.
• Ensure audit, tax and statutory reporting schedules and supporting documents are prepared and submitted within the required timelines.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and relevant Group functions, including Group Tax, Group Legal, Group Company Secretarial as well as banks and government authorities where required.
• Support and participate in continuous process improvement, automation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Work closely with Operations and other departments to monitor and resolve finance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies, internal controls and statutory requirements.
• Perform other ad hoc finance assignments and projects as required.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional qualification or part qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA is an added advantage.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Fresh Graduate with experience in Audit, GL and AR in internship are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting; exposure to Power Query, automation or digital finance tools is an advantage.
• Effective communication, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skill.
• Ability to work independently,meet tight deadlines and as part of a team.
