Job summary

EBC Financial Group is seeking an experienced accountant in Kuala Lumpur to manage AP/AR cycles, perform full-set accounting, and support month-end closing. You will prepare financial statements, assist with audits, and ensure tax computations are accurate, leveraging BI tools for reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree or professional qualification, with 1–5 years in accounting, fluent in English and Mandarin, and capable of working independently under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
• 1–5 years of progressive accounting experience handling a full set of accounts.
• Solid knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and SST regulations.
• Audit or financial services industry experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with BI tools Tableau, Power BI, Python is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional and audit requirements.
• Able to work independently and meet tight reporting timelines.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day invoice processing for Accounts Payable (AP) including receiving, reviewing and processing invoices from vendors.
• Perform daily accounting tasks including bank reconciliations, journal postings, and intercompany reconciliations for Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Handle full set of accounts and month-end closing in a timely manner; prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for management review.
• Prepare documents for audits, including tax computations; maintain proper documentation and filing for accounting records.

Job Responsibilities :

Financial Operations

• Manage the day-to-day invoice processing of Account Payable (AP) including receiving, reviewing and processing of invoices from vendors.
• Responsible for the daily reconciliation between existing PSP.
• Review petty cash claim and monitor petty cash usage.
• Review staff reimbursement processes accurately and efficiently.
• Perform the day-to-day processing of Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Responsible for AP and AR-related accounting, including bank account reconciliation and posting transaction recording.
• Ensure all the financial documents are organized and archiving.
• Other tasks assigned by Team Leader

Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing

• Handle full set of accounts and month-end closing in a timely manner.
• Perform daily accounting tasks, including bank account reconciliation, journal postings, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assisting with the preparing of month-end closing account and financial statement.
• Assisting with the preparing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for management review.
• Prepare necessary documents for audits, including tax computations.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing for all accounting records.
• Other tasks assigned by Team Leader

Job requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Professional Qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
• 1-5 years of progressive accounting experience handling a full set of accounts.
