Job summary

PointStar in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Finance/Accounting professional to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with company policy.

The role requires Mandarin proficiency to support Mandarin-speaking clients and partners, a degree in Accounting/Finance, and 3–4 years of relevant experience including inventory knowledge. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to close monthly and yearly accounts and assist audits.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking clients and partners.
• Degree/Diploma in Accounting and Finance.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.
• 3–4 years experience in Finance – General/Financial/Consolidation Accounting.
• Inventory knowledge is a must.
• Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day financial and accounting operations including payables, receivables, expenses records and credit control.
• Liaise with other departments to complete month-end and year-end accounts closing.
• Assist to prepare timely and accurate monthly financial and management reports.
• Assist with annual tax returns and year-end financial audit.
• Liaise with auditor, company secretary, tax agent and payment gateway merchants.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting documents for record keeping.
• Manage accounting jobs assigned, ensuring all jobs are done diligently and timely.
• Undertake any ad-hoc assignments by management or reporting head as required.
• Ensure all accounting systems, practices, controls and procedures comply with company policy.

Qualifications

• Candidates with 3-4 years working experience specialized in Finance – General/Financial/Consolidation Accounting or equivalent will be added advantage.
• Inventory or finance inventory process knowledge is a must.
