Job summary

ERL Maintenance Support in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a Finance professional to manage financial accounting, reporting and contract costing. The role requires coordination across finance and contract administration to ensure budgeting and compliance with internal controls.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, at least 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance or contract management, and proficiency in MS Office; SAP/ERP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Contract Management or equivalent.
• Minimum two years in Accounting & Finance, Contract Management, or project costing.
• Experience budgeting, project costing, and commercial documentation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; SAP or ERP experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support daily finance and accounting activities in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and monitor collection status.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Monitor budget utilisation and expenditure against approved budgets.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate contract administration activities including renewals, variations and costings.

Person in charge for Financial Accounting & Reporting; and Contract Management

Finance

• Support and coordinate daily finance and accounting activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and internal procedures.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and monitor collection status.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Monitor budget utilisation and expenditure against approved budgets.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Contract Administration & Project Costing

• Maintain contract records and monitor renewals, compliance requirements and subcontractor insurance.
• Manage services and secondment budgets, project costing, and commercial documentation.
• Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and prepare cost analyses and management reports.
• Supervise and coordinate contract administration activities, including contract monitoring, renewals, variations, terminations, and new contract setup.
• Prepare and review project and business proposals, including costing, pricing, budgeting and financial evaluations.
• Maintain and analyse costing and pricing records to support business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's governance framework, policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Contract Management or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant working experience in Accounting & Finance, Contract Management, Project Costing or related fields.
• Practical experience in budgeting, project costing, contract management and commercial documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP/accounting systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple assignments within tight deadlines.
• Proactive, resourceful and committed to continuous improvement.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
