Jora Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, FA, and GL, and to support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. You will prepare management reports, perform reconciliations, assist with audit and tax compliance, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
A Diploma or Bachelor's in Accounting and at least 2 years of relevant experience are required; proficiency in Excel and ERP systems

Full Spectrum Accounting: Manage full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and General Ledger (GL).
Financial Closing & Reporting: Perform month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing activities accurately and within set timelines. Assist in preparing management reports, financial analyses, budgets, and forecasts.
Reconciliations & Documentation: Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, supplier statements, customer accounts, intercompany balances, and GL accounts. Prepare and issue invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and official receipts promptly.
Payments & Internal Controls: Process payments ensuring supporting documents are complete, authorized, and accurately recorded. Support the implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls and SOPs.
Audit & Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing audit schedules, tax schedules, and documentation for statutory audits and tax filing in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal departments, group companies, external auditors, tax agents, banks, and suppliers on finance-related matters.
General: Maintain systematic filing of financial records and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or equivalent. Professional qualifications (LCCI, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are a strong advantage.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance. Fresh graduates with strong academic track records are encouraged to apply.
Industry Advantage: Prior experience in the construction industry is an added advantage.
Software & Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred.
Languages: Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
